About Us
Unfortunately,
the Web is littered with thousands of sites offering
loans, credit or credit card scams and promoting
inaccurate, incomplete and downright fraudulent information.
Before you use any service or information that you have
discovered on the Web, it is vital that you understand who is
giving the out the information and if it is correct. So
here it goes..
After
finishing high school and my first year of college in Waukesha,
Wisconsin, I decided to move to Phoenix,
Arizona mostly to get
away from the miserably cold winters. I found a job
working for an accountant while I continued going to college to
get my bachelor degree in accounting. After 2 years of
pure boredom, I decided that accounting was not what I wanted to
do for the rest of my life. Since I wasn't making enough
money working for the accountant, I was offered a part
time job to be a bookkeeper for a small buy here pay here
car lot.
After working there for a year, I realized
that I wanted to stay working in the car business. I found a job
working for a secondary auto finance company
as a loan officer and then promoted to manager. It
was great to tell someone that they were approved for a car loan
when no one else would give them one!
Unfortunately, while I was employed there, my credit started to
go down hill due to circumstances out of my control. I
quickly found myself in a similar situation as all of the people
that I've helped get a car loan.
I
remember one day going to a car dealership because I wanted
to test drive a car that I saw in the paper. However,
after giving them my information which they pulled my
credit, they told me that I wouldn't be able to test drive
any cars unless I had $5000.00 to put down. I couldn't
believe what the car salesman was telling me!! I thought
to myself since when did they start getting a down
payment from a customer before they are allowed to
test drive a car? Of course, I told them I didn't but at
that point even if I did, they could forget about even trying to
sell me a car!! They made a bad mistake when they said that
to me because as soon as I walked out of their dealership,
I started telling everyone that I knew not to buy a car from
them (that was 13 years ago) and guess what?? I still tell
people today about how bad that dealership treats people! They
just didn't lose one customer, they lost potentially hundreds of
customers. No matter what your credit looks like, you
should be always be treated with respect.
In
1996, the internet started to become a popular place for people
to apply for a car loan.. It is easy, fast, and free! Instead
of spending hours at the car dealership to find out you can't
get approved, filling out an application online was the way to
go!! Who wants to explain their life story to every salesman in
the world and end up getting treated like that!!
I decided to go work for an internet company that
helped locate auto financing for people with bad credit.
After working for them for several years, I decided to create my
own web site. I knew that with my knowledge and
experience, I could provide the same service but offer information
that many other websites don't provide.
Much
of the information you will read on this web-site comes from
experience both personal and professional however if you
can't find what you are looking for, please don't
hesitate to email me at info@autofinancelocators.com.
It is so easy to be taken advantage of when trying
to purchase a car especially when you have very
few options but with a little knowledge can be worth a lot for
FREE!
